Trauma Informed Practice: Intake, Systems and Environment Management

Webinar offered in partnership with Homelessness Services Association of BC:

This session builds on the foundational principles of Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP) and explores how frontline shelter, drop in and other outreach settings can practically apply TIP into their environments and systems.

The course will focus on practical applications of trauma-informed practice across key operational areas, including intake procedures, physical environment setup, the transparent and consistent application of rules, policies, and safety expectations, and staff education. Participants will engage in guided reflection and collaborative planning to envision what trauma-informed practice could look like in their own organizations and to identify concrete steps for strengthening trauma-informed service delivery.

This course is an advanced level offering, with the understanding that you have some prior knowledge of what Trauma Informed Practice is. You are encouraged to take advantage of some of our other training offerings (listed below) to enhance your learning experience.
